Indigenous Peoples have been implementing green practices for thousands of years - taking only what was needed and using and reusing all that was harvested.
We continue this practice by supporting recycling and composting initiatives. AS a result, we helped Membertou’s Pow-Wow become one of the first totally green events on Cape Breton Island. -
Community
Since 1999 we have been community focused. We assist Elders and disabled persons in Membertou with their garbage, organics, and recycling by providing a door to curbside service for those members that need additional support.
We also provide information and education to residents and businesses regarding solid waste best practices. -
